Translations into English – Sri Lankan Birth/Marriage/Death Certificates

1. Letter of request
2. Original Birth/Marriage/Death Certificate authenticated by the Consular Division of the Ministry of External Affairs  in Sri Lanka
3. Money order for Can$40 in favour of “The High Commission of Sri Lanka” or Cash if submitted at the High Commission
4. Prepaid envelope or additional Can$12 as postage

*Please note that, no certificate will be translated, if the document is not authenticated by the Ministry of External Affairs in Sri Lanka

1. This High Commission is not responsible for any document lost in the post.
2. Submission of forged documents and making false declarations is a punishable offence and the fees already paid will not be refunded.
3. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
